Our Story

Berea Missionary Church was founded in 2002 in Cambridge, MA. Our founders set out to launch a non-profit, family-focused community outreach church with global reach. Before opening our doors in January of 2002, we held our first gathering on Thanksgiving day, 2001, at RUSH Memorial AME Zion Church. 


As a Haitian-founded church, Berea Missionary Church is dedicated to promoting diversity within our hometown as well as supporting Christian missions abroad. We have spent the past two decades fostering a wholesome, Christ-centered community here in Cambridge and are proud to continue our work abroad.


Today, Berea Missionary Church connects missionaries and disciples around the world. Through community activism, donations, and local events, we’re able to give vital support to global missions that need it most. 

Our Vision

The vision of Berea Missionary Church is simple: to be a loving and equipped community of disciples in teaching, fellowship, sharing, and worshiping the Lord. 


Our vision is founded in Acts 2:42: “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” By devoting ourselves to fellowship and the teaching of the gospel, we strive to create a better life for those within our community and around the world.

Our Mission

Our mission is to evangelize, advocate, counsel, and teach the word of God. In other words, Berea Missionary Church exists to glorify God and display His character!


“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Mat. 28:19-20)

Get Involved!

For over 20 years, the Berea Missionary Church has been connecting nationwide and international donors to the missions that gravely need their support. We’ve also created a loving church community here in Cambridge, offering a safe and welcoming space for local families to come and worship. Berea Missionary Church is currently working toward huge goals. We plan to expand our outreach and move our church to a new building in Cambridge so we can continue growing our thriving community. 


But we can’t do it all without your support. You can get involved by joining church events or giving to our international causes. Our donors allow us to further our mission and continue sharing the word of God.
